NBA Roundup: LeBron Up, Kobe ... Where?

Notes from the first weekend of playoff action ...
• As you would probably expect, everyone's all a-twitter over LeBron James. YAYSports! is going a bit nutty, and Mutoni's Musings runs down LeBron's first playoff game, live-blog style. Fittingly, the Nike "We Are All Witnesses" line figures prominently in both posts. We might beware getting too excited about this whole endeavor, just one playoff game in.

• That said, we are seriously concerned about our Lakers-over-Suns "upset" pick. We think we might have figured out Kobe: He's bipolar. He zags when he should zig, and vice versa, and all that. As has been pointed out, this is a guy who decides to become a team player ... in the All-Star Game. He gets to the playoffs and changes what the Lakers have been doing all year. Weird. And now everyone thinks it's a ploy. All about the drama, this guy.

• We do look smart because of that Pacers pick, though. We've officially decided Vince Carter is our least favorite guy still playing, since the Knicks didn't make the playoffs.

• When the Finals begin sometime next year, will anyone remember a single game that happened not only this weekend, but this week?
