What you missed while telling the Pope to stay off your lawn ...
• NBA: Lakers cross the Rubicon, take control of Western Conference.
• NHL: Taking a 3-0 lead and then giving up four unanswered, in the playoffs? That's gotta sting a little. Flames 4, Sharks 3. (Hmm, I think we may have identified the problem).
• MLB: Maddux wins No. 349, leaves clubhouse on horseback with Wilford Brimley ...

So, once again Sharks fans....
Brian Campbell will not help you on defense.
Good thing Ottawa never did anything bold and pulled a guy like Cujo off the heap.
@Afino: Yeah, he sure looked sharp on the Nolan goal...way to take a man, Brian! Those are awesome games, though, just wish they weren't so late at night.
@Dany Heatley Speedwagon: I wonder how Buffalo's season would've gone had they dumped T-bo for a backup they trusted. I really liked that move when Calgary did it, looks like it may have saved their season last night.
@Dany Heatley Speedwagon:
A lot of teams could have used him, but they all passed.
Emery still should have been traded though, even if all the Sens got was a few sticks and a bag of pucks.
I didn't know Maddux had diabeetus
....are we the only ones at work this morning?
What you missed while waiting to hear the innumerable excuses from the media as to why Tiger did not win The Masters.
Here's a simple one. He didn't play well enough to win and never was a true threat despite the second place finish.
What you missed while watching a thrilling Mast...zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
But you can't touch a flame when it's... RED HOT!

@UkraineNotWeak:
Gotta love how Tiger's 2nd and Mickelson's T-5th won't be remembered for what they actually were.
@UkraineNotWeak: Another simple reason: making putts is a good, good thing.
@UkraineNotWeak: I find it amazing that he had his C-game and still finished second. If he had gotten it to -7 I think Immelman would have folded - he looked scared to death as it was with a 5-shot lead with three to play.
@Dany Heatley Speedwagon: A serviceable backup goalie would make Gerber pretty happy right now, as he's probably been sprawling for saves in his sleep for two days.
What you missed while trying to add Trevor Immelman's Wife as your friend on Facebook ...
@MeSoHornsby:
And just how many golfers you think played their "A" game at Augusta? Besides Immelman, not too many. Was that Vijay's "A" game? Phil's? Furyk's? Cink's? Hell, Mickelson was worse on the greens than Tiger all weekend.
Maybe Tiger missed those short putts because he couldn't handle the pressure. Tiger is the greatest "from ahead" player ever because he doesn't make mistakes when ahead to allow others to creep close. One has to take risks to catch him which eniviably leads to more mistakes. Well, when the shoe is on the other foot, the same thing happends to Tiger.
It was the ultimate suckup second and even Tiger knows it. He never was a threat to win it. The final margin was as close as it got and only because Immelman truly screwed up the 16th.
Between the Masters and Sox-Yanks, I think I may have actually watched 25 hours of sports programming in a single day
Damn it, it's official, I shouldn't have presumed the Calgary/San Jose game was over when it was 3-1 after one. My bad. Congrats there Flames.
"He will pay tribute to the 3,000 who died in the al-Qaeda attacks on September 11, 2001 - and ask God to convert terrorists to Christianity."
If you can't beat'em, join'em.
@UkraineNotWeak: Greatest "from ahead" player ever? Skip Bayless everyone!
/juuuuuust kidding
What you missed while falling asleep AT the most painfully boring Sox-Yankees game ever.
The Pope may not tread upon Yankee Stadium grass because it's more sacred than he is.
@Yostal: I haven't seen someone from California choke that bad since Knob Slobber Volume 4: The KY Connection
@OchentaYcinco:
Tell me, has he ever won a major coming from behind on Sunday? Until he does, he's not Jack's equal and I'm not a fan of Jack.
It is the one major sore spot in Tiger's resume. He's never chased anyone down to win a major. Hell, even Phil has done that (2004 Masters). Three strokes down with six holes to play.
@UkraineNotWeak: I'm not disagreeing with you at all. In fact, I'm just a little irritated at myself for recognizing it as an argument that Skip Bayless makes all the time. Because it means I've spent far too much time listening to Skip Bayless.
Tiger never had a shot at coming back the way he putted the ball yesterday. At some point I think he will come back to win one. But not from five back and making nothing over 8 or 9 feet.
@OchentaYcinco:
I don't like Bayless but I have to admit he has a point regarding this matter.
@UkraineNotWeak: I don't think it's a "sore spot" on his resume. When he's not playing well at a major he doesn't win. When he is playing well, he wins. When he's REALLY playing well nobody can touch him. When he's in the position of having to come from behind, he's usually struggling , and it's hard to win anything when you're struggling , let alone a major.
I spent a lot of my weekend laid up on the couch watching golf. I was never sure if I preferred Tiger being out of it, or was disappointed by his being out of it. This is why even the great Tiger Woods will never convert those of us who aren't already fans, we still aren't sure whether to root for or against the guy.
@UkraineNotWeak: "Hell, even Phil has done that".
With Phil's talent he should have at least 8 majors by now - I think to even compare him to Tiger is absurd.
@MeSoHornsby:
Somehow Jack managed to turn around a struggling round a few times and win it.
@MeSoHornsby:
Wasn't trying to compare him to Tiger. Just trying to say that when he won the 2004 Masters, he managed to turn around a bad round, three over on the front nine to spit up the lead, by shooting five under on the last seven to overcome a three shot deficit.
You're right. Although if Tiger finishes his career with 25 majors, but no "come from behind" majors, do you really think that anyone other than Skip will say that it detracts from his record?
/dick joke, to lighten the mood
