Manchester United dominated West Ham en route to a 4-1 victory, holding off Chelsea for another week. Ronaldo netted a double for the Red Devils before his countryman Nani received a red card for a blatant headbutt to Lucas Neill's nose. Now Nani will be forced to sit out the final match of the season against Wigan. A win there for United and there will be nothing Chelsea can do to overcome the gap. Dean Ashton of West Ham had the most stylish goal of the match, while my boy Carlos Tevez added an absolute rocket to shut the door on the Hammers.
• Fulham continues to fight. The Cottagers got a goal apiece from Nevland and McBride to win for the second consecutive week, this time over a relegation rival in Birmingham. The two squads are joined by Bolton and Reading in a group of four teams in danger of joining Derby on their trip back down.
• Not everyone helped themselves. Reading needed a valiant effort against Tottenham Hotspur to stay out of the relegation zone, and it didn't go so well. Robbie Keane scored the contest's only goal, and Reading will sweat it out.

Also: Team America (London Edition) controls their own fate in the relegation fight after a win over Birmingham coupled with Reading's loss to Spurs.
Didn't see that coming a few weeks ago.
Watching Team America just now was terribly exciting, especially because Captain America put in a diving header for the winning goal...
Captain America's awesome.
Manchester United? Just another team The New York Football Giants will have to dethrone!
Wait they call soccer WHAT over there.......
I'll call them Team America again when they quit fucking with Deuce.
UM, I assume you're of the persuasion that if Chelsea can only get one, a CL trophy is better than the Premiership...
I don't mean to sound like I wouldn't love the EPL title too, but it's not looking like United will lose next week.
You could say that my focus is on beating Manchester heads-up. But if Wigan has a miraculous tie in them I'd be ecstatic.
i just want to say "BURN IN HELL CHELSEA AND ALL CHELSEA FANS"
/bitter liverpool suporter...
Well I think that's a given
because we're jews, you see
@gotohe11carolina: i'm just happy we finally beat liverpool in a meaningful game.
Wigan's win over Aston Villa was pretty miraculous. That said, I'm not sure I see lightning striking twice with this much on the line.
Reading pissed me off today, and right now Sunderland is doing the same.
@gotohe11carolina: There are other kinds?
Oh, the season is still going on?

Nah, all the Blues have to do is outscore Newcastle and Bolton by a combined 20 goals. Sure, it's soccer, but it's also Bolton.
@Permanent4: What a fucking farewell for Olof. dammit.
So, looks like West Ham laid down like a 2 dollar hooker to repay Sir Alex for doing the same last year to keep West Ham up.
Thanks a lot, fuckheads. Let's hope Wigan and their crumbling stadium salvage a tie and Sir Alex rests everyone for the CL Final.
