Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there.
//Suspending any jokes about your mom for 72 hours//
Why does it always rain on Lake Travis?
/whatever happened to Travis???
Scalabrine is the greatest red-headed rapper since the Raggedy Ann-W-A.
Seriously, that Jones rap is amazing.
The only thing Benson is guilty of is being a shitty running back...so let the beating commence. So let's get Enis and Salaam on that boat so they can get theirs. If only they had Matt Suey.
FYI My drunk ass fell out of a boat once in the middle of Lake Travis and I had to swim to shore. Not kidding. It was a hilarious/terrifying experience.
When I heard about this, I got the feeling that Cedric was on the recieving end of some "extra-policing". Usually the lake police will tell you to put on "Changes in Latitudes" and keep it down.
Rich black man on a boat with his mom, several friends, and six white women -- with two people who say the cops are fibbing big-time. The whole thing reeks.
@Signal to Noise: And apparently one of the women said that she's been on his boat about six times this year, and every single time they have been stopped for a "random" safety check.
Are the Brewers done? As they say in Milwaukee, it aint over til the fat hairy guy swims in a giant mug of beer.
The likes of actress Sandra Buullock and tennis star Andy Roddick reside in the hills and often party on the lake.
Sandra "Buullock?" Wasn't she in Speeeed?
@Signal to Noise: It reeked the second they peppersprayed someone for drinking on a boat. WTF is that?
(Yeah - it definitely reeks for the whole "extra policing" aspect as well.)
@A Pimp Named DaveR: They put out an album last year which was the best thing they've done since The Invisible Band.
Unless that was a rhetorical questions, in which case never mind.
/Big Travis Fan
@Yinka Double Dare: @Im a people person. Who drinks. (and who is now also dedica...: if you go to another piece that D-Wil at Sports on My Mind has written, he cites something very interesting: Texas isn't one of the states that allows for sobriety checkpoints...hope Benson's lawyer knows this.
Since I'm assuming he's not an avid bass fisherman, what the else is there to do when lake boating?
@GoEliGo????: No, and thanks for the heads up.
Provincial Black Basketball Association?
I prefer the Negro American Space Society of Astronauts.
The cops pull over people on lakes in Texas all the time and can do so for any reason or no reason at all. If you have a jet ski, you should expect to get whistled by the cops every hour or so.
However, he was on a 30 ft party boat, which probably had some sleeping area on it, not a 20' wake boarder or 15' bass boat.
They were being overly harsh and following the letter of the law way too closely, probably because he was black.
