Here's Boston's Emotional Return To Sports At Fenway And TD Garden
After a day of terrorism-induced lockdown, the city of Boston came alive again today with early-afternoon action at Fenway Park and TD Garden. While the Bruins played earlier this week—in a performance preceded by a group singing of the national anthem—the Red Sox had yet to play at home since Monday's attack at the Boston Marathon.
In that sense it's not surprising the festivities at Fenway were a bit grander—and more profane, thanks to David Ortiz's "fucking"—than those at TD Garden. (We edited much of it out for time constraints.)
