If there's one thing I've learned in this world, it's that you do not f—- with Mr. Met. He has a bad attitude and a collection of shivs he made in prison, so watch out. Just look at this photo, where Mr. Met is saying "Don't f—- with my hos, or I will STICK YOU, man!" And witness the video following the jump, from Shea Stadium on Saturday, in which Mr. Met throws a throat-slashing gesture to a Yankees fan. Could the heated NL East division race finally be getting to him?

Of course none of this should come as a surprise to anyone who has followed Mr. Met's recent, troubled past. So anyway, the Phillies should be thankful that their important two-game series with New York, which begins today, is taking place at Citizens Bank; a shiny, happy place where no violence could ever occur.

The Mets are a half-game ahead of the second-place Phils, and have reason to be concerned. Philadelphia is 6-1 since a local blogger organized Campaign Cheer, in which Phillies fans were urged to be more positive toward the home nine; specifically Jimmy Rollins. It seems to be working, I suppose; Rollins was even cheered on Monday during Philadelphia's 5-0 win that completed a four-game sweep of the Dodgers. Rollins finished a home run short of hitting for the cycle, which helped.
