When contracts are broken in sports, all hell can break loose. Today's most contentious split goes to: Stephon Marbury — It wasn't enough for Marbury to admit in a courtroom that he had sex with a Knicks intern, so coming into 2009, with a new coach, a new general manager, and without the backing of Isiah Thomas, he had to conduct a calculated piece of self-sabotage in order to break free: incessant whining, pouting, refusing to play,accusing the coach of being untrustworthy, then, ultimately, announcing to the world that his marriage to the Knicks is officially over. The Knicks obliged, offering him a buyout on his massive $20 million deal.
