Many readers have inquired about the lack of coverage we provide to lesser known blogs these days. Rightfully so. I'd like to showcase those newer, under-trafficked blogs on a daily basis. But...there's a catch.
Here is a new segment called "The Learning Curve" where you, young blog proprietor, will get a link to your new site on Deadspin. In addition, any and all questions you may have about being a successful blogger will (hopefully) be answered. Not by me, though. Consider this a "Dear Abby" for blog publishers and, you, proud, angry, often cruel commentariat should provide your helpful tips on success.
Now, thick skin is a requirement for every blogger. But do try to be helpful as well. Don't just torture all these people and trounce on their dreams in the comments — email them your tips, your real suggestions, your advice, etc. Touch lives and all that.
As for the blog, my baby/pet-project (tcnjlionsfootball.wordpress.com), I've got no specific questions—I just want to know everything.
How can I get a feel for my audience? Hell, how do I even develop an audience? What's the best way to encourage an interactive environment? Am I going to go to jail if I collect advertising dollars?
Really, any advice, criticisms—constructive or for your humor—you've got to offer, I'd more than love to hear it.
Thanks, for everything.
Go on. Advise and criticize.
