Marshall head coach Tom Herrion appeared to have survived "The Big One" toward the end of the second half against UCF on Saturday, when he was allegedly elbowed by Knights guard Isaiah Sykes and collapsed in pain. Repeatedly. And rather dramatically.
The refs rewarded Herrion with a flagrant foul call (although after the game, one official said that the contact was "inadvertent"), and Marshall's Damier Pitts knocked down one of two free throws. Marshall eventually went on to win, 65-64, and Herrion called the elbow a "non-story."
