Thierry Henry Slammed The Door On His Premiership Career With A Match-Winning Goal In Injury Time
Arsenal bounced back from a 1-0 deficit to steal a 2-1 win at Sunderland thanks to Thierry Henry's goal in the first minute of injury time.
Henry was making his final appearance for Arsenal in English Premier League action before heading back to the U.S. to resume his career with New York Red Bulls and did so with a flourish, finishing Andrei Arshavin's perfect cross to ensure a Gunners victory.
Arsenal found themselves down 1-0 after a painful-looking injury to Per Mertesacker was exploited by Sunderland's James McLean, but the replacement Aaron Ramsey delivered on an awkward goal that hit both posts before going in to equalize—which set up Henry's heroic exit. [Fox Soccer]
