Jerry Sandusky's Attorney Compares Trial To Soap Opera. You'll Never Guess Which One.

After a day in which Jerry Sandusky's defense team began stating its case by trotting out character witnesses who did nothing to dispute what's being alleged, the looming question in Bellefonte, Pa., is whether Sandusky himself will take the stand. At this point, it might be Sandusky's only way out, but given the depth of the evidence against him, it might also be an unmitigated disaster.

Sandusky's attorney, Lawyerin' Joe Amendola, was asked that question this morning by a group of reporters gathered outside the courthouse:

"Excitement"? Er, OK. But Lawyerin' Joe was probably just trying to bring a little levity to what's been a difficult time for everyone involved. Next question...

Well, all right. Not sure what it means, but whatever. Trial's about to resume so—wait, what?
