Cincinnati Will Host The 2015 MLB All-Star Game
The Cincinnati Enquirer is reporting that the Reds will host baseball's All-Star Game in 2015, the first time since Riverfront Stadium hosted in 1988. Bud Selig will officially announce it on Wednesday, but it's a done deal—after seven years of lobbying by the team.
It used to be, you build a new ballpark, you get an All-Star Game. But the stadium boom has outpaced the calendar, and the Great American Ball Park will have been open for 12 years by 2015. The 2013 and 2014 games will be held at Citi Field and Target Field, respectively.
