Ahh, SEC Football, so full of love and companionship. As the University of Tennessee coach arrived this morning to discuss the upcoming season he was met by a process server. The only man more hated in the state of Alabama than Phil Fulmer is Al Sharpton.
Cue the Birmingham News:
The subpoena, delivered by a process server representing a Birmingham law firm, requires Fulmer to appear for a Sept. 25 deposition in a libel and defamation suit against the NCAA brought by disassociated University of Alabama booster Wendell Smith.
In 2004 Fulmer didn't attend media days to avoid being served a subpoena. This year, not so lucky. A disassociated Alabama fan? Let me just say, that's hard to pull off. Nick Saban better keep in mind that as a resident of Alabama he's always easily served. Except when he's in Louisiana, when he's easily fed to alligators.
