Another reference to "the zone" can be found in the somewhat corny, but beautifully shot "The Greatest Game Ever Played," (directed by Bill Paxton). Based on a book by Mark Frost (Twin Peaks/Hill Steet Blues) it chronicles Francis Ouimet's upset victory in the 1913 US Open versus the Tiger of his day, Harry Vardon. There is a wonderful section in the book - and it is in the movie where Ouimet connects what it is like to be "in the zone" by watching an opera singer. It is right in line with what you wrote about today. Well done. - Sheepblog

Chuck Eddy does not take kindly to your casting of aspersion on KIX.

I don't know if you have touched on this yet but I fucking hate Shannahan he was the death of me last night. I don't know why I convinced myself to play S.Young, maybe it was the 150 yard performance the week before. Fuck Shannahan, tell him to pick a goddamn running back so he can work on the red zone offense. Maybe some continuity would allow them to score some goddamn touchdowns. I am never picking a bronco again.
