So this time, the terrorists actually did win.

Great article Mike. What a fucking finish from Lahm; he hammered home that goal like a champ.

<![CDATA[Charles commented on Still Dancing In Turkey]]> @randomsausage:

I hope ESPN give Andy Gray a lifetime contract so we'll have him again for 2010. He's like an smarter early-day John Madden.

What I found most ironic about the Russia-Holland game is how Holland received nothing but praise for their attacking prowess in the group stage, particularly in the France game. Instead, it was Sneijder trying to make something happen out of nothing while 9 other guys watched him and Van Persie fell to the ground.

Also, USA v. England, Spain, and Argentina in the next few weeks.

Hirshey, great article. With Drogba's petulence, both Coles yelling (Joe at the ref, Ashley at his teammates), and Ballack getting in the face of Tevez, it couldn't have happened to a nicer group of guys.

Now get Shevchenko back to Milan or MLS...my Ukranian roots demand it.

<![CDATA[Charles commented on Dolphins Take Jake Long First Overall]]> @bizzo5000:

Seriously - let's go St. Louis, you've had a week-long head start on this pick.

I'll be happy when they go to fantasy football timing for the draft. 90 seconds a pick, and if you can't select somebody, the NFL will assign a player from Mel Kiper's board for you.

<![CDATA[Charles commented on What A Thrilling Sports Week]]> @Charles: Crap, didn't finish. UMass and BC never overlapped as two strong Basketball programs, so they didn't enter the sports world.

I think local Bostonians may not appreciate the staggering amount of good schools in the area: Harvard, MIT, BC, BU, Tufts, Bentley, Babson, UMass, Amherst, Williams, etc. There are probably more good schools in a 20 mile radius here than there are in the entire UC system.
