Gainesville police arrested a Gators defensive back on charges related to an armed robbery and home invasion after J.C. Jackson turned himself in to the Alachua County sheriff’s office last night. Cops say Jackson entered an acquaintance’s apartment mid-Saturday afternoon, followed by two at-large suspects who proceeded to rob the apartment’s occupants of money, weed, and video games at gunpoint. He’s being held on $150,000 bond.

The redshirt freshman has already had his share of brushes with the law and guns; he and other college football players were shot in the face on Christmas Eve in their hometown of Immokalee, and days before that he was a passenger in a car driven by quarterback Treon Harris that cops found contained weed.
