If Chicago defenseman Sami Lepisto is any example, all our stereotypes for what athletes do when they're eliminated are correct. They go golfing, and they nurse their wounds.

Lepisto's Blackhawks were knocked out a week ago, but this photo he posted shows the lingering aftermath of a blocked slap shot. If you had told me "gunshot wound" or "sledgehammer factory accident" I would have believed you. But it's just the result of a basic defensive sacrifice many players make multiple times a night. (Lepisto's not usually a shot blocker, and this probably won't change his attitude.)
