Australian Lleyton Hewitt had a little help during his Hopman Cup match at Perth Arena Tuesday from an unexpected source: his opponent, Jack Sock.
In the first set, Hewitt was up 30-0 and served. The judge ruled a fault. “That was in, if you want to challenge it,” Sock said. Hewitt looked stunned.
Sock’s eye was correct, and the replay showed the ball was in. Hewitt won the match in two sets, 7-5, 6-4.
