Viral videos are a double-edged sword. On one hand, a trick-shot video helped a D-III quarterback like Monmouth College's Alex Tanney gain national recognition. On the other hand, he'll have to do something pretty damn special to become something other than "the guy who made that trick-shot video. Not that one, the other one."

Tanney set the NCAA record for career touchdown passes, but went undrafted in 2012. He was signed by the Chiefs, but spent that season on injured reserve. He signed with Dallas this offseason, but was assigned to the Cowboys' practice squad. So the Browns, with Jason Campbell being evaluated for a concussion and carrying just two QBs since Brian Hoyer's injury last month, snapped Tanney up today.

He figures to give Cleveland as much as Brandon Weeden has, but for about $7.5 million cheaper.
