Cavaliers Think They Can Get Kevin Love Without Trading Andrew Wiggins

After LeBron went to the Cavaliers, the new question was if the Timberwolves would now trade Kevin Love to Cleveland and ideally receive first overall pick Andrew Wiggins in return. So far, the Cavaliers have publicly said they don't plan on sending Wiggins anywhere.

Head coach David Blatt did his best to quash hopes Saturday by telling reporters Wiggins would not be traded, according to him and the organization. Marc Stein's information reflects as much.

Cleveland's still interested in acquiring Love, and apparently they believe they can pull it off without giving up Maple Jordan. The Cavaliers' reported first offer to Minnesota: Dion Waiters, Anthony Bennett, and a first-round pick for Love. Haha, nah.

Though public denial doesn't always mean a lot in trade talks, Cleveland seems to be set on not selling the future for immediate returns. The 19-year-old Wiggins would likely benefit by playing with and learning from LeBron. If the Cavaliers can manage to get Love without giving him up, that's one hell of a front office move.
