This is actually from Wednesday's 6 p.m. newscast on KNTV in San Francisco, during which a CSN Bay Area producer in the background appears to react quite negatively to the Dennis Allen news being delivered by sports anchor Henry Wofford. We're not sure how someone working on TV wouldn't know he is, you know, on TV. But if this is how Allen's being received by the media, we can only imagine how the sane and reasonable Oakland Raider fan base is reacting. More »

The victim refused treatment at the scene, drove himself to the hospital, and was released. Lt. Stanford Assistant Coach And Former Pro Bowl DL Chester McGlockton Is Dead

McGlockton was drafted 16th overall by the Raiders in 1992 and played 12 seasons for four teams. He made consecutive Pro Bowls as a Raider from 1994-97, including an All-Pro year in '95. There was something predictable about Oakland's selection of Terrelle Pryor in today's supplemental draft, and it wasn't the pick itself: it was the mad rush among pundits to point out the inevitability of the Raiders taking a guy with a spotty past. It's the laziest sort of joke, and one your 50-something-year-old local columnist will be making tomorrow morning. The Raiders are dirty and they're a bunch of criminals and Pryor will fit right in. Except it's an outdated stereotype and not particularly accurate. The Raiders' reputation dates back to a bitter Chuck Noll "criminal element" quip from 35 years ago, and isn't backed up in the police blotter.
