Oh boy. Maryeve Dufault may be attractive, but she is nowhere near ready for a full Nationwide schedule. Did anyone see her Nationwide debut last year in Montreal? Good lord, that was bad. She did ok last year in ARCA when she raced, but she needs another year before moving up. Also, I have no clue why she's wearing a helmet in that picture with Blake Koch's website on it. He's the dude who normally drove the #81 last year (and whose ride she claimed for her own, resulting in Koch moving over to another team for the weekend).
And to follow that up, there was the TS010 back around 1992. The first time I saw pictures of this new car, the lines reminded me of that original car (of course, that car came with or without rear wheel covers, like the Jaguars of that era).
Got darn it. PSL's? The scourge of professional sports all around. Booo! (and imagine that boo as the booing from NHL '94). You got to pay for the right to pay some more. That is bush league and should be banned.
Cripes, my dad still has his from the 1980's and uses it on a regular basis. I think it survived falling out of his car once in the early 1990's and an overnight stay on the sidewalk in front of my elementary school in 1993. Very durable pieces.
My car doesn't have a cigarette lighter (its a 2002 Mazda 626, for reference purposes). Unfortunately, it does come back after being cleared (within a couple of days).
Oh, it's definitely a check engine light. Like most of the other dudes that commented yesterday, my check engine light is orange in color, has an outline of the engine with "Check" underneath it. Its been on more or less since August, and I've already spent $2000. Can't keep it off for more than a week at a time. Already replaced an EGR Valve, Solenoid Valve and the Computer (and all of that was just so that the car would pass emissions (which took 2.5 months). Light came back on less than a day after it finally passed inspection in October, but I was tapped out from the previous repair. The car runs fine through all of this, though. I want to dump it by October so I don't have to deal with spending thousands again to get it to pass, but I just don't know. I think the light itself is all screwy, but no one's going to believe that.
Random question. What's going on when your check engine light is on, you have a local mechanic run the codes on it, and nothing comes up. No codes, no nothing?
Got me on New Year's Day. Got an e-mail saying that my password had been reset while I was watching football and got taken for $128 before I could stop it. Then, I got into a game of dueling resets with the hacker. Same setup, but only with FIFA 12. The douche added a guy with the username "zMatteh," a user from Northern Ireland, to my friends list to transfer the 9600 points bought with my money to.

My account is currently locked (thankfully, the helpful woman I talked to on the phone was able to do everything I needed to have done without being transferred) and my bank refunded the amount stolen, but I'm staying away from the 360 for a while. Stupid stuff like this always hits right before I'm supposed to leave town. If it's not hackers, it's the car having issues.

This is a got-darn travesty. Now, the dude cannot steal any more of my money because the card is now cancelled, so I don't have to worry about having a situ similar to what Susan's dealing with. I wanted to blame EA Sports since this happened literally the day after I bought Tiger Woods PGA Tour 12 and signed up for EA Sports' online service, but I guess that's not the case.

In all honesty, this was a miserable year. However, car-wise, I did finally pay off my 2002 Mazda 626. However, immediately after I did, all heck broke loose (most of the next 3 months was spent getting more and more repairs). Never have an EGR valve go on your car 2 days before you were going to get it inspected (I was going to Watkins Glen to cover the Sprint Cup race the next weekend). It took until almost Halloween to get it to pass emissions.

Other than that, I covered two Sprint Cup races and the Rolex 24 for an independent website and covered the local dirt racing scene near Albany, NY for a newspaper. For 2012, I definitely plan to replace the 626 (as long as it doesn't bankrupt me first). Want to get something compact, fuel-efficient and reliable, new or used. Suggestions?

You mean Maximum Drive, right? That was on the Family Channel in 1994. They referred to the vehicles as "Argos," I think.
You know, that is what came to mind at first. However, after thinking about it a little more, I'm sure that the Show-Me State's statute probably has wording that makes it completely legal to whip it out at the trough.
Ok, guys. Missouri law doesn't apply here. According to the linked article, this incident occurred in Caseyville. Caseyville is in Illinois, like Pinkneyville. Caseyville is a St. Louis suburb not too far from East St. Louis and Madison. Pinkneyville is what looks like 50 or so miles north of there near DuQuoin. I don't know if the fly down= sex act rule applies in Illinois, unfortunately.
Oh, good lord, not that dude. We've got 4 of his dealerships around here (used to be 5, but they lost their Chevrolet franchise in Schodack). August is the worst month of the year thanks to his "Huge-a-Thon." I'm sure it's worse in Rochester, where he apparently owns a radio station in addition to a buttload more dealerships. Also, he has infomercials.
I agree. Grand-Am's an interesting series that is on the uptick. TV Ratings were up something like 25-50 percent this year (granted, they weren't great to begin with, but it's a start), and the racing on track is generally pretty good. Note that the FXDD sponsorship is Emil Assentato's own company (he drove a Mazda RX-8 last year). He'll be co-driving that Ferrari pictured above next month.

Also, Grand-Am's by far the more likely road racing series to get decent coverage since they can actually get live races on TV for a change. You probably know how ALMS' TV deal is.
They haven't used Moet for quite a while. At least 6-7 years. They were spraying the Mumm back when Michael Schumacher was winning his titles for Ferrari.
I agree with this. Us sports fans are veterans of knowing to always allow for extra time on the DVR for recordings. For scripted fare, you don't have to add much typically, but add a few minutes for good measure, even on normal nights. At least they get to see the whole dang show after football ends instead of starting it in progress, so quit your whining for a few minutes.
The tracks would never go for that. They use Cup drivers as extra draws for the support races and don't want their cash cow taken away. Granted, it's not really necessary today (at least not at the standalone races).
Do the Mark Sanchez, eh? I'd rather "Do the Mario." Just as stupid, yet probably far more memorable.
I did that too. Still have the game hanging around in my basement.
