@Balls State Explorer_explored: It should make it all the more enjoyable when Duke loses to Binghamton this week.

/Wishful thinking

@Doyle McPoyle: Fucking dress blues commercial man. That got so many fucking dudes. Now look at us: Trombley hasn't killed anybody, I'm half a world away from good Thai pussy, and Colbert is out here rolling around fuckbutt Iraq hunting for dragons in a MOPP suit that smells like four days of piss and ball sweat.
@DumpsterDining: I was there is September (the same week Lehman Brothers and everyone else was going belly up). Aside from being desolate compared to past trips, about 90% of the tourists were either from Europe, South America and Australia.

Not in anyway a bad thing, but certainly unexpected. Even if it shouldn't have been.

I certainly wouldn't call Peyton Manning a choke artist, but I don't know why everyone acts surprised when the Colts are bounced from the playoffs prematurely. It does seem like a recurring theme.
@Charles: If my primary concern was getting the teams with the best records into the playoffs, I probably wouldn't much care.

But without getting too technical, I imagine home and home would be done away with, but you would still play every team in your division once (resulting in one more home or away game for each team). I don't think teams would use one less home divisional game as a scapegoat for missing the playoffs, but I'm probably wrong.

Couldn't the NFL just scale back to two divisions per conference and it would all but ensure that we'd avoid the Patriots-AFC West Champion dilemma?

Also, McDonald's sweet & sour is the bees knees.

If people start referring to him as a global icon, instead of just implying that he aspires to be a global icon, will it help influence his decision one way or the other?

Call me crazy, but I think LeBron likes all the attention. He's the NBA's Andy Millman at this point.

In Philadelphia, I hear its not child abuse until you to put the kid in a tanning bed.
@wonderlic---myballs: Correct me if I'm wrong, and I know they're trending downward with Les Miles at the helm, but didn't LSU just win the BCS title (not a real title, but still)?

I didn't drive down to New Orleans for nothing. No, I drove there to watch my team get trounced and to gamble drunkenly.
/sheds tear

Clearly he didn't perform enough circumcisions during the off-season to earn God's blessing.
If you're going to be paid this much money, there really should be some sort of penalty clause for to losing to Stanford in his contract.
I fear for any man who fights him for a cupcake.
@44 in a Row: The consensus from early reviews is that it's a fresh take on the war, but is somewhat difficult to distinguish one character from the next. There are about eight two minute character profiles on demand that are recommended before watching part one.
@Magnakai Haaskivi: Hey now, we're in the running to acquire James Posey. That sort of low-level acquisition is nothing to sneeze at.

I'd like to see you attempt to sign a big name when you're paying Wally Sczerbiak, Ben Wallace & Zydrunas Ilgauskas a combined $40,000,000+ in 2008-2009.

/Hangs head in shame.

Look on the bright side, Seattle, at least you have Julius Jones.

/ducks

Wow, a bad day to be busy at work.

This must be Simmons' Andy Dufrane moment. He's crawled through hundreds of yards of shit over at the WWL and is now clean as a whistle. Or something.

/Its been a long fucking day.

@KazMatsuisAnalFissure: I was under the impression that had he entered last year's draft (which was loaded) that he would have been a lottery pick. Somehow his stock has depreciated to the point that he'll be lucky to be taken in the high teens (in a relatively weak draft).

I'm guessing he was exposed without Jeff Green, I'm not going to pretend I watched enough Big East basketball to tell the difference. But I'm almost certain that what he was producing was considerably more than what Koufos was doing for Ohio State.

@Another-Failed-Tedford-QB: And with any luck only three of them will be busts.
Does anyone know why Brook Lopez and Kosta Koufos are rated higher than Roy Hibbert? Not only here but everywhere.
Julie Pritchett sees no problem with this.
