@elfincracka: Are you kidding? Vick was suspended effectively the TWO years he was in jail, as well as the first two games of the regular season last year. Not to mention the fact that he had to spend that whole year getting back into playing shape.

I give you that the first accusation was rather sketchy and not quite all there, but the second one? The cop who took the report took a picture with Ben, ON DUTY! he also resigned ([www.huffingtonpost.com] so that case is rather tainted.

Sounds like someone's just a salty Steelers fan.
@backdrop.flower: ESPN has the broadcast rights to this game and had some of the others, ESPN largely controls sports on TV, so if ESPN wants to spend 20 minutes every hour hyping this game up they're more than welcome to do that. If Versus had this game, I doubt it'd be on ESPN as much as it is right now.

ESPN always creates more out of situations than they really are. See: Favre, Brett
@VirtuousVixen: ESPN puts what makes them money on the front page, for example there were UEFA Champions League matches today, the only live sporting events that have taken place thus far today, yet there is no mention of them because largely ESPN's target audience doesn't care. However if I click over to ESPN's Soccernet site, I can see everything about the Champions League and more. Now Soccernet isn't the first place I'd go to for soccer news as it still kind of sucks, but it's better than it was 3 years ago.

ESPN has been building lots of micro sites like Soccernet for a few years now and it allows for a lot of coverage on a specific topic to be kept in one place. So if there's a big story in one market (Womens tennis for example) that's minuscule on the national scale, it can have a home on ESPNW now. If it's a big enough story, the ESPNW writers will probably get the lead on the story.

Now it is silly to have them writing about men's sports, but at the same time, ESPN is a content monster and there are probably a lot of stories every day throughout ESPN's sites that get little to no audience so if the ESPNW ladies are able to have a dedicated spot to show off their work and get exposure then it can only be a good thing for them in the long term.
@Settings: The photo you posted is fake for a couple of reasons.
1. Watch the video, where the camera is even with the goal line, it very obviously goes through. Like it's indisputable evidence. ([www.youtube.com]
2. Disregarding the legitimacy of the goal, The keeper is in the air flying backwards in your picture. Again in the video you'll notice that the keeper does not fall backwards till the ball is past him.
3. If you watch the video you'll also notice that a German player falls down right outside the box, the German player is what you pointed to as "the ball"
@Katni: I told you that you needed to stop bringing your whizzinator along on sexual encounters.
@Katni: You're just mad you're not on the fuck list aren't you?
@Beer_Fart: Watching in slow-mo you can see that Shawcross is a little late. I don't think you can really fault him though, things move so fast these days that you're milliseconds away from a gruesome leg break or a simple trip.
@UkraineNotWeak: they would have just fumbled around for a bit once they got it in the box though
I found Kings Quest 1 and 2 "remakes" available online for free a few months back, so awesome.
The Champions League final being on the weekend is going to at least double the viewership in the US as well considering it's usually on at the ever so convenient time of 3 pm EST.
Only Salisbury would be stupid enough to ruin an ongoing civil suit like this.
@Steve U: Technically no, because Clint Dempsey plays a similar position and has played the full 90 in a striker position.
I should hit F5 before I reply.
@UbaldoHairRejuvenationSystem: Also from Denver and we played 500 a lot. Dead or Alive was awesome because some kid was getting punched in the face.
"He loves Washington, as evidenced by the "W" ankle tattoo" His Rick Neuheisel tramp stamp also proves this.
@jpeams: no it was being reported that Henry was in an accident and he was in the hospital, and biodome decided he'd be cute and say he was dead.
I wouldn't belive the Gerry Fraley twitter, if you look at the timeline it looks like its some MMA loving kid
