I subscribe to too many podcasts, and I can never seem to cut down to a reasonable number. That said, the ones I must listen to as soon as I see them in iTunes are:
The Age of Persuasion (CBC show about advertising/marketing - easily my favourite) The Skeptics' Guide to the Universe (and 5x5) Stuff You Missed in History Class History According to Bob MacBreak Weekly The History of Rome Baseball Today (ESPN) Film Sack Skeptoid
And that's ignoring all the video podcasts I watch.
Pfft. Top Gear has been doing this for years. You always want to drive. It's faster than the TGV, a commercial airline, a ferry, a private plane and the Shinkansen.
On the other hand, At Bat is one of my favourite apps. I love listening to baseball on the radio, so I get tremendous value from being able to hear every game I want to.
I listen to a ton of Yankees and Dodgers games (at least til Vin Scully's innings are over), as well as whatever other games may tickle my fancy in between. Great way to wile away those lazy summer Saturdays, and all for just $15.
@libgeek: No, no. Don't back down from your point. You told us that "[t]here's nothing open about Apple" and "[i]f you're using Apple hardware/software you've already given up on the idea of openness". Don't equivocate now. Defend your stance.
Even the FSF puts limits on what you can do with their software; even the GPL has restrictions. If it didn't, we wouldn't be commenting on this article. I know they claim justification for their restrictions, but they're still restrictions.
Apple, Microsoft, the Linux distributors, they all tell us what to do some of the time. There's ups and downs with all of them.
Also: M$? Seriously? Have I timewarped again? And if you don't think they restrict what PCs I can install my copy of Win7 on, you're thinking too narrowly.
I drove a 2000 Saab 9-3 Viggen up to 220 (km/h) once. I used to work at an Saturn/Saab/Isuzu dealership as a car jockey and I was... testing... the merchandise. I always liked that car.
By the way, a Saturn SC1 will top out at 176 km/h. Just so you know.
For the stereotypers among us, lefty is the Eclipse driver (according to the original site)... also, he's apparently from a place called Sappington, so there may be a chance he's inbred.
