Your sourced HP link doesn't even have the word WebOS on the page and the Executive VP of HP said that these stories of shutting down WebOS are "unfounded rumors"
He didn't ask for a ban or anything of the sort, just that it was in poor taste which I can understand considering that "man and woman" mentioned in the article are actually a 45 year old father and his 2 year old daughter who are both still in critical condition.
To be fair, bands will generally make sure that their stages are built to their specifications and made safe. One way Van Halen used to do it was put a clause somewhere in the middle of their contract that stated the promoters/venue must remove all brown M&Ms. If they went to the candy bowl and found a brown M&M they wouldn't perform, not because they were vehemently against brown M&Ms but as a safeguard to make sure that the promoters fully read the contract and that their stage was set up properly.
People react to shock differently than you or I may do, or she may not have fully understood the scope of what just happened. Just like the Texas Rangers announcers that were laughing about the father than died when he fell over the railing. That was her natural psychological reaction for whatever reason and you have zero right to criticize her for it.
