And the absolute failure to have a plan to address the road-woes in the post season is Doc's fault.

And... you know... I'm not entirely sure what the song & dance over David West is about. His numbers are only a tiny bit better than the last two seasons. Peja's numbers are still lower than his last season at Indiana, as are those for Bonzi Wells at Houston. Chandler's numbers are about the same as last year's.

Again, some fair points.
However, using the argument "and got them the #2 seed in arguably the toughest conference in NBA history" is a non-argument against the guy who got his team the #1 seed.
Nor do I think it's fair to use a statline as a primary argument, given the past two seasons (arguably amongst the best scoring ever) that Kobe had - and never even came close.
Post those individually impressive seasons, Kobe was asked to be a team-player, and he's done that this season. We're kinda running out of excuses here.

I have no problem at all with you not wanting Kobe to get it, but at least have the fortitude to acknowledge that "I don't like him" has a part to play in that decision. :P

But on the strikes, you DO get penalised, but much like the NFL's "bringing the game into disrepute", the penalties differ depending on the severity of the charge.

@Detective Bunk: Half so (mis-informed). Most stuff that makes TV will be in 'alpha-numeric', as with most international teams. But the vast majority of sports teams in Japan are either a mix, or in Kanji/hirogana.
