Can't blame Ford for re-using the Explorer as name recognition for the CUV that replaced the SUV.
I mean didn't they go thru this already? Anyone remember when they tried Five-Hundred & Montego as replacements for Taurus & Sable??
I can see how Explorer loyalists would want the name to only be attached to the body on frame "truck" version, and not to the unibody "car" version. But who really wants another flaccid new CUV name to learn?
"I guess it just proves that when it comes to Washington these days, even the unbelievable is believable."
No truer words could describe the current state of our once fine union.
Wasn't that supposed to be a 110 MPGe engine?
(With: e=not really 110mpg, just manipulated numbers to make it seem really good)
I thought I read here that the engine was supposed to be a regular gas engine with electric motor helper and multiple random cylinder deactivation(?).
(Sounds wildly optimistic and totally un-manufacturable)
