Don't forget that lazy layabout Gabby Giffords. She doesn't attend even one vote, and when she finally shows up to actually do her job for once, she demands a standing ovation for her trouble. The nerve...
I once showed my girlfriend how expensive a ring would be if I followed the 3-month rule. She literally forbade me from spending anywhere near that much, which is why I love her.
I would seriously break up with a girl that demanded I got get a more expensive ring. Hopefully I would have figured out that that girl wasn't one long before then though...
I literally just moved to Manchester from the US last week for school. Everyone else in my program is backing Man U, and I just can't do it. Regardless, I love that I can sleep in on Saturdays and still watch all the games.
So I can currently make money by noticing a company is better than the market is giving it credit for, but you don't think I should be able to make money when I notice a company is worse than it's priced at?
Looks like the picture, but red. It was a beauty when I got it at 16 in 1999. It had 130k miles, no AC (living in texas), no turn signals, and only operated on high beams. I have no idea how I passed inspection not once, but twice. I did look bad ass with the t-tops off though.
Moving to the UK to go back to school in exactly 24 hours. Six months ago, I needed a medium sized U-Haul to move all my possessions. I'm now down to two suitcases. I've been pretty calm to this point, but the required freak out begins....NOW!!!
All I can say is that I'm happy to be going back to school this year, since graduate subsidized Stafford loans are being phased out next year as part of the debt agreement.
I think you got the order wrong. Every graduating senior started going to college after the manufacturing sector shrunk to the point it wasn't a viable option for entering the middle class straight from high school.
Love Hudsucker Proxy - I actually saw it the first time when my high school economics teacher/football coach thought it was the perfect movie to play while he worked off his hangover.
I really never lived aboard, and this seemed like a good opportunity to do that and maybe work as well after the program. The problem with most international MBA programs is that they're only 12 months, which prevents the traditional summer internship. I pretty much applied to schools that were longer than that, Manchester and London Business Schools and IESE in Barcelona. Got into Manchester and IESE, but chose Manchester because of Scholarships (saving over $50k). Insead is a great school, but they require proficiency in a language by the time you start, which just wasn't possible for me.
Applying in the 3rd round will get you. I'm actually going abroad for my MBA, so I'm moving from DC to Manchester UK in 3 weeks. Currently hoping this debt ceiling bullshit doesn't destroy the exchange rate.
