As you know, the Swedes historically were regarded as not being very tough in the final stages of any playoff Ya, those guys who won the Olympics in '06 and there was this Forsberg guy, not to mention the Conn Smythe winners in '02 and '08, those guys sure fold up when things get tough. The Sedins are pussies because they are pussies not because they didn't come up riding the bus between Moose Jaw and Prince Albert.
That was a brutal dive by Talbot. He knew it was coming, turned to face the boards, barley got hit and then folded up trying to draw a penalty. Pretty weak.
Really tough to say on what a ticket will run you. I heard, but nothing official, that the round 1 games barely sold out, so it might not be too bad getting tickets, and you might get a couple for face value. Taking a real rough guess they will run from $250+ to $60.
Another obvious is a Wings playoff game. Great atmosphere in the playoffs at the Joe. Not sure on the schedule yet, might not be known until Wednesday night, but they should have a home game while you're there. If you're looking for a quick little side trip, downtown Windsor a lot of pretty decent places to get wasted, and quite a few strip clubs. The casino is solid too if you feel like a little gambling.
I'm not sure how the agreement works with Versus and TSN, but TSN carries a ton of Versus games, and although some are on TSN2, it's not a big deal as almost everyone I know has TSN2. Basically there is a game on every night and that doesn't include the local Sportsnet coverage (which is bush) which is similar to the local Fox broadcasts in most US markets.
I also don't see how it would hurt to have the CBC share it's Saturday night coverage in some way with Versus (unless Mark Lee and Kevin Weekes are announcing, in which case I don't wish that upon anyone), although the CBC always does whatever it feels like. I agree the NHL should find a way to make sure that bewteen Versus, CBC and TSN all playoff games are available to the national US market.
