Yes, when ever any claim of any sort comes up against anyone the first thing is someone should do is make sure to extend some sympathies, because THINK OF THE CHILDREN!!!!one!!!!!11!

God, talk about a non-story.

"Plantations date back to the latifundia of the Roman Empire and continue to exist today, and they have only relied on slave labor for a small proportion of their existence."

This is the dumbest fucking argument I've ever heard in my life.
A Bronco advocating breaking the rules. Shocking.
It would be much quicker and more accurate if you just published "We just don't like Rodger Goodell for no particular reason".
This is the shit deadspin is churning out these days? I mean, God, this is embarrassing. This is worse than a Whitlock column.
Ring Lardner should be your go to guy for your early 20th century sportswriting. Read "You Know Me, Al"... one of the great sports novels, and I'd say Great American Novels of all time. Holds up better than almost anything else written in the 1910s.
They are saving the good stuff for the book right? None of this stuff is even vaguely interesting, much less newsworthy.
God Whitlock is a no-talent piece of shit.

Oh and /dick joke.
Some people, correctly, just hate unions and love to see them get their just deserts.
Just because something happened doesn't mean it's news... or interesting for that matter.
God, I'd rather read about Farve's wang some more...
We'd love to pretend that college football is somewhere more pure, and less in thrall to the power brokers, but it's not true.

Who actually thinks this besides sportswriters when they want to get on their high horse about something?
Berry needs to learn what a replacement player is, since Gil was obviously much better than a replacement player. A pitcher that eats plenty of innings with a 99 / 100 ERA+ has tons of value in the majors.
@Prick Top: Thanks for feedback. Very insightful.
@UweBollocks: It's not that hard... Jason Chen is a very sensitive little boy apparently.
God, what a non story... thanks again for digging this up Deadspin. Great job.
"Who cares about a fine? The players like their money, but they like getting on highlight reels and increasing their fame and perceived value more."

Really? Then why do we have to listen to the James Harrison bitchfest every week?
Drunken Germans? Who would have thunk it...
Wow, you are pretty thin skinned aren't you?
Well, at least we can all agree his an enormous asshole.
