@alftime: Who would you rather watch on the History Channel, Mormons or David Koresh?
@SchenkersAxe: Okay, point taken. I think I've been more nuts and bolts at times, like when they upped their transition game. I plan to do more of that as Miller becomes more of a factor. As far as specific plays, it really depends on what I take away from the game. A non-call bailed them out. It won them a game, but that they almost lost -- and how they almost did -- was a lot more interesting to me. Certainly, if there are classic history moments in the making, I will write about them. But part of the narrative of this team is that, so far, there hasn't been much of that. They blow out runts, and until recently, just sort of wilted against real opponents. Most of their important plays seem to matter most for "big picture" reasons.
@SchenkersAxe: Also, Bennington? Sign me up! That place is crazy!!!
@SchenkersAxe: It's called sports. Get a fucking dick and read the AP.
@gulag: Journalism degree? Who do you think I am, Rhys Chatham smoking dust with Silas Marner?
My pal Skeets is a funny person, but this is one of the funniest things I've ever seen in a computer.
Is it at all funny that I read this as "still pretending to understand socks?"
@Ben: Kobe couldn't carry a below average team anywhere far, either. I have no idea how the fact that LeBron has figures into this.
These pictures are really that tough to get?

1. Government burning cocaine because it's unconditionally evil.
2. Image inverting the concept of being a traitor
3. Babe Ruth was a fun-loving drunk, some cola used to have cocaine in it, this one has "rock" in the name which makes possible ingredient even funnier, "red" like Red Bull, which is a popular energy drink
4. Young Jeezy/George Gervin synergy

You know, all that Boston stuff was unnecessary. Although I do hate Boston, and did long before the Patriots existed.

And SH, I agree that part of it is Garnett's no longer being out in the middle of nowhere with nothing on his side. It's not the winning with others, for a team, thing I object to. Hell, dude's always been unselfish to a fault. It's more that, with a better supporting cast and some sense of security, you no longer get that same desperation and manic "me or no one" feel to his game. He's not piling the whole city on his back anymore.

I said diminished, not neutralized. That's maybe the distinction that got lost.

"Brenda" came from the immortal Unsilent.
There are no typos in that comment.
I mentioned Hakeem in the beginning.

I'm talking about how Howard relates to Shaq/Duncan dominated period we're in. Yes, I know Duncan insists on playing PF, but he's still a Big Man).

With the exception of that huge Pistons upset, Lakers/Heat and Spurs won almost everything in sight, media talked endlessly about how important Shaq and Duncan were, and the pudding's proof offered little room for disagreement. Dwight Howard can redeem all that.
