He was on with the Musers (local morning show) a few minutes ago. His "It's for the children" force field was up at full power. The hosts pointed out that he could have thanked Vick for his service with bestowing a higher honor (however meaningless), and they kind of went round and round on it.
I'll give the guy credit though, he was willing to talk about it live on the radio (on the most popular station in Dallas). He had a couple funny lines too. The hosts asked if they helped with the kids if they could get keys to the city too. Caraway responded, "I won't be giving out any more keys anytime soon, you can believe that!"
The audio should be up at www.theunticket.com later today (they're having server issues at the moment).
Of the 1200, two-thirds received seat upgrades. So they need to shut right the hell up.
And what happened to the 800 people who would have sat in those upgraded seats otherwise? Rumor has it they originally belonged to Cowboys and/or NFL employees. If that's the case, it's pretty shitty that some working shlubs got their seats taken away because the NFL screwed up.
If I were a life-long Packers fan who got screwed in this situation I can't imagine the rage I would be feeling. The money will likely not even cover the expenses of the trip, and tickets to next years game? There's a chance that the Pack will be back, but it's not likely. Instead I get to see someone like the Falcons (who I hate) play the Patriots (who I hate more)?
