Hey, buddy: Have you SEEN Dave Foley lately?
For what it's worth, his reference to me writing in "the fourth person singular tense" is still in there.
Afterward, I'm hoping Craggs and I can get in a fight with Brown Recluse, Esq., during the Illinois-North Carolina game.
@VidaBlueBalls: Bingo. We really, really need to stop pretending Nielsen ratings mean anything, at all. I wrote a book about this! Baseball is less of an Event Sport than football. That doesn't make it "a regional sport." It just means the way people absorb he sports are different.

OK, the book is also about dads.
@Sonar Jose: Yes, it was pretty difficult being beaten up in high school by all those Chris Gaines fans.
Someone had a brilliant comment about Wayne Coyne performing inside a gerbil as one of the most impressive feats in music, like mastering a knuckleball. I loved the comment and tried to promote it, but accidentally deleted, because technology on Deadspin is heard these days. Sorry.
@titansfan78: Well, in a lot of ways, their schtick is similar: People who don't look like they would say something offensive saying something offensive. At least Silverman writes her own stuff.

@Dany Heatley Speedwagon: I'm like a windup toy. Just put a penny in my arse, point me in the right direction and watch me go!

(Note: This is not how windup toys work. Do not try this.)

@titansfan78: I dunno. I don't have one. I guess I just don't find books all that difficult to carry around. Hyperion DOES assure me Are We Winning will be out on Kindle soon, though. They've been saying that for a week, but I still believe them.
