Jets 27, Bills 20: The first battle of AFC East rookie QBs was must-see TV, in that it was extraordinarily ugly. New York was flagged for 20 penalties, breaking a team record for most penalties in a game. (The NFL record was 22; oh, so close!) The Jets took a 20-6 lead in the third quarter, and somehow, even with C.J. Spiller leaving early with a knee injury, the Bills came back to tie it at 20. But Geno Smith threw this beautiful pass to Santonio Holmes, and the Jets now have a better record than the Packers and 49ers.

Seahawks 45, Jaguars 17: What did you expect? Here's a cool garbage-time touchdown to Doug Baldwin. Hey, at least Jacksonville generated more offensive yardage than the Giants (265 to New York's 150).

Colts 27, 49ers 7: The former Stanford quarterback beat the former Stanford coach, surprisingly. Jim Harbaugh hadn't lost consecutive regular-season games as an NFL head coach, but the Colts finally made it happen. Oddly enough, the Colts' running game thrived against San Francisco's usually tough rushing defense. Ahmad Bradshaw ran for 95 yards and a score, while shiny new toy Trent Richardson accrued 35 yards and a touchdown. The 49ers play the Rams next on Thursday, so they'll need to make a quick turnaround before the worrying starts. Look at that pretty Kaeperpick, though. It went so high in the air!

Dolphins 27, Falcons 23: How the hell are the Dolphins 3-0? They've now beaten the Browns, Colts and Falcons, and since the Colts beat the 49ers, does this mean the Dolphins are better than the 49ers? Miami's third win came in a last-minute comeback with an excellent throw by Ryan Tannehill on a play-action pass that worked perfectly. The AFC East clearly won't be handed to the Patriots.
