Once that is fixed, I kind of like the new design. #redesign (Edit comment)
Setting my complaint aside, I do grant that it is likely much more efficient to organize and navigate between headlines this way once I learn; this just requires a different method of subconscious cartography than I am used to. Based on the overall reaction by the commentariat over the whole Gawker umbrella, I'm not the only one rubbed the wrong way by this change. I gather that when making a design change of this magnitude, it would likely go over better had Gawker Inc. been a follower rather than a leader. #redesign (Edit comment)
Not really too worried about not being able to comment (and from what I've been reading here, it's not working all to well right now to begin with); you all could probably use a vacation from the vacuousness of my wit, which is perpetually ignored anyway. I'm just hoping that some of the problems related to actually reading the site are issues that will be hammered out and are not incurable based on the age of the browser I'm forced to use 8 hours a day. #redesign (Edit comment)
Also, I kind of hate the redesign. I know you won't change it back, but I felt like putting that out there. #redesign (Edit comment)
Also, I'm guessing that same genius also decided to roll the buggy and slow redesign out on one of the biggest sports news days of the year, huh? #redesign (Edit comment)
No, seriously. Why the fuck can't I easily view the previous five headlines after I click the "NEXT HEADLINES" button? #redesign (Edit comment)
AND I READ THAT COMMENT LETTER-FOR-LETTER AS IT FOUND ITS WAY TO THE SCREEEN BECAUSE THE SITE IS SO SLOW.
Honestly, you guys are taking a lot of flak, not because we're resistant to change, but because this redesign absolutely blows. It might get you more page-views, which is obviously the intention, but it is nonetheless far less functional and accessible than the previous design. Epic win for pageviews, at the expense of epic loss in simplicity. (Edit comment)
