The July 27 redesign seems to have disabled messaging. #redesign
There have been times when I click to see replies to comments, and it goes to a blank page. And why is the featured comment the most recent comment most of the time? Good to see you working on the redesign again. Messages coming back any time soon?

#redesign
Please let me get used to this; i'm really trying #redesign
So are the starred people still going to be allowed to approve new users, or is that going to up to the discretion of the editors only again? #redesign
Hey: a promote button! That's awesome! Seriously! #redesign
I'm sure others have bitched about this, but I am a 'see old comments first, extend all comments, notify me when someone replies' guy, and altho my settings are set this way, these preferences are not taking.

Once that is fixed, I kind of like the new design. #redesign
OK, one more helpful (now, with less bitching!) note: on my user page, the right-hand column is way out of date. Just thought I should toss that out there. Thanks. #redesign
into day two, when in "Top Story" mode, it's showing recent stories in the right-hand column only from yesterday. All today's posts appear properly in "Splash View", but I'm trying to be hip and view the way Gawker wants me to - anyone else noticing this? I'm using Chrome. #redesign
This site design reminds me of the time I sent a bunch of money to this guy in Africa who said he was a prince. It seemed like a good idea at the time, but I can't help but wonder if that $542,467.28 will ever be deposited in my bank account. Either way, I'm starting to think it was a bad idea. #redesign
When we use the !DUAN/forum link, it only shows the starred comments. #redesign
My main gripe is how different the mechanics of this site are when compared to every other site that I frequent. Having such a large portion of the page stay stationary as you scroll through the other half is pretty disorienting and it also makes me feel like there is a ton of wasted space. Slashdot rolled out a similar mechanic to their comment section a couple weeks back and, from what I can tell, have since abandoned it.

Setting my complaint aside, I do grant that it is likely much more efficient to organize and navigate between headlines this way once I learn; this just requires a different method of subconscious cartography than I am used to. Based on the overall reaction by the commentariat over the whole Gawker umbrella, I'm not the only one rubbed the wrong way by this change. I gather that when making a design change of this magnitude, it would likely go over better had Gawker Inc. been a follower rather than a leader. #redesign
Just got home, and for the first time today am able to actually view Deadspin. My work computer runs a primitive version of Internet Explorer, and when viewed through such a browser, the new site is an absolute disaster. Headlines on top of copy. Pictures behind an un-loading scroll bar. No comments to speak of. I realize this is not the fault of the Gawker redesign, but probably more of a symptom of my corporate overlords being too cheap to update their software since 2003, but then again, I should be working anyway, right??

Not really too worried about not being able to comment (and from what I've been reading here, it's not working all to well right now to begin with); you all could probably use a vacation from the vacuousness of my wit, which is perpetually ignored anyway. I'm just hoping that some of the problems related to actually reading the site are issues that will be hammered out and are not incurable based on the age of the browser I'm forced to use 8 hours a day. #redesign
Can we get the personal link on our profile page back? #redesign
In other news, m.deadspin.com just became only the second most annoying way to access Deadspin content. #redesign
I would prefer to see the oldest comments first...that no longer seems to be an option #redesign
I have the "expanded replies" option selected in my settings, but everything's displaying collapsed. Temporary glitch?

Also, I kind of hate the redesign. I know you won't change it back, but I felt like putting that out there. #redesign
So can someone explain to me what genius thought that "Next Post" across the bottom should logically take you to the post that occurred, in time, PREVIOUSly to the one you're reading? The way the site is laid out right now, there's no way, short of clicking furiously in the still broken (to my connection) sidebar, to read stories in chronological order.

Also, I'm guessing that same genius also decided to roll the buggy and slow redesign out on one of the biggest sports news days of the year, huh? #redesign
Why in the fuck is there not a previous headline button?

No, seriously. Why the fuck can't I easily view the previous five headlines after I click the "NEXT HEADLINES" button? #redesign
So is this now like GawkerTV where everyone can be a star? #redesign
Also can "Toggle Star" here. So why does Charlie Sheen keep slipping? ("Next Story/Post" should be at the top of the page, no? I've usually made up my mind after paragragh 1 or 2 whether I'm continuing). #redesign
