Fredy Montero’s Long-Range Strike Is A Worthy Response To Yesterday’s Cissé Golazo

We brought you a highlight yesterday of what's probably the best goal scored in European soccer this season, and it was almost as if a reply that Major League Soccer brought its own "you can only do that in a video game" highlight stateside last evening. Fitting, then, that it was Fredy Montero of the Xbox-sponsored Seattle Sounders who landed the 35-yard strike, a blistering and perfectly-aimed shot to the corner of the goal that gave Seattle a 2-0 lead over L.A. Galaxy and secured their first win over MLS's Tiffany squad in two years—as well as proving that golazos can be found here in the States, too.
