Kansas vs. UCLA will be tipping any time now. Hopefully, that one will make this one look like the JV game. There's no shortage of history and tradition there, of course, as will be mentioned during the obligatory shot of Bill Walton in the stands with his tiny Asian wife.
Also, don't forget the other big event of the evening, Peyton Manning hosting Saturday Night Live. I'm kind of excited about it, he'll be about the third-funniest member of the cast. If there's any kind of a Chesney reference, Peyton Manning will have my undying respect.

If he steals Carrie Underwood away from Tony Romo, he'll have my undying respect.
Know its been asked before, but how the f*ck did Walton pull that off?
From previous thread: Okay, I have no rooting interest here. Anyone have a good reason I should root for Kansas or UCLA?
MJD settled it for me. Pic of Bill Walton = Go Kansas!
Wait, it that Luke Walton's mom?!?
@throwbot: I suspect not.
I have no rooting interest here, either. In fact, I have no rooting interest in any of the remaining games, though there are a number of teams I will be rooting against (yes, that means you, Florida.)
Did I just hear Chaka Kahn plays for Kansas? I need to get some beer.
Somehow I'm guessing he asked to have his picture taken with her, not the other way around.
@PQ Crash:
Have you seen her ass? She can box out big time.
@throwbot: Yes, he has his mother's eyes.
After seeing Mata, I think Joakim Noah is rooting for UCLA, as a UCLA win would prevent him from holding the distinction of being the ugliest man in the Final Four.
While you're waiting, this Maine/UMass regional final is pretty good.
#1 seed UNH lost to Miami University today, the second time in as many days as a one seed lost.
BC took care of St. Lawrence, knocking out the ECAC.
Minnesota rallied with three in the third to put away Air Force in a very entertaining game.
Michigan and North Dakota starts soon.
Wow, less the five minutes of UCLA vs. Kansas have already surpassed the entertainment value of UCLA vs. Pitt.
I'm rooting for UCLA, on the basis of their cheerleaders. I think I could bang them all given an unlimited supply of coke.
@Yostal: Go Blue!
They pick up their teams, pick up their games, and pick up the pace, but the Boosters pick up the check.
Well Kansas might score more first have points than Indiana did.
@Discombobulatingly Devastating: Given an unlimited supply you would go through the cheerleaders, the dance team, and half the band.
@Yostal: Or you could watch the best NHL team play.
Yostal, you guys hire anyone yet? Or are you going to put together a search committee?
@twoeightnine: That works too.
@JebusHChrist: No word, rumors and speculation are winning the dat.
Darren Collison...whoa.
Low-five!!
no live blog on the women's D2 championship game???
The Westwood One radio in-studio commentator just said Ohio State was going to the Final Four for the first time since '68. Obviously no one listening to the radio was awake during 1999.
That didn't count. Cus, you know, they cheated. Kinda how in 5 years we'll find out this one didn't count either? Like this game isn't actually even happening.
@Bainard: That one got taken away due to recruiting violations. So technically, the commentator is correct.
tenacious kansas defense or ridiculous bruin butterfingers? what is the o/u for steals in this game? 40?
Wow. Tiny Asian wife doesn't begin to describe the disparity.
Danny Manning is an assistant coach?
How is he ever going to be a head coach? There is no way he can successfully execute the "kneel on one knee while intently watching his team" manuever with his bum knees.
Can we split screen the UCLA cheerleaders?
@The Intern: Finally an idea that would add a point to ESPN 360.
Game on ESPN
Cheerleaders on ESPN2
Sorority footage on ESPN.com
Sasha Kaun is to KU what Phillip Brabbs was to Michigan a couple years ago.
Man, I'm going to KU for my masters right now, but it's gonna suck having a bunch of rock chalk cornbred heifers talking shit to me at work on monday.
@TomDaddyDollars: Mata looks like Turtle and Drama from Entourage were bred together and made taller.
@Signal to Noise: I refuse to believe that anybody would actually marry Bill Walton. Again. Can you imagine the play by play during the sexytime? Who wants to hear him blurt out "horrible" at the moment?
After 58 seconds in Denver, Michigan 2 goals. It's amazing.
@Len Bias Cocaine Surplus: And I would say beer pong should go on ESPNU. I've always been of the opinion that beer pong and/or flip cup would be wildly popular if televised.
And 38% from the line??? I think I could punt the ball through at a 40% clip.
The Intern: Shitty beer run. A misplaced wallet pushed me halfway through the first half.
@Tuffy: Ouch. Those types of mistakes will kill you every time. In the end, though, you got more beer. You still win.
@The Intern: word.
i would like to see someone play well the game i have played so simultaneously enthusiastically and badly.
though bowling would be a counterfactual....
@The Intern: Good sir.
I would like to enter a business with you.
We have gold
@The Intern: The USC Song Girls stole the show last night. Comparing them to the other dance teams was like a major league team to a triple A team. Plus the USC band played System of a Down, which is always good for a +1
@The Intern: I'm a recruiter, not an Xs-and-Os beer run guy, I guess.
@doxastic: @Len Bias Cocaine Surplus: I'm glad people agree with me on this. How has this not happened yet? If you televised this once each week, tell me you wouldn't get Nielsen-shattering ratings from the 18-24 demographic.
@The Intern: whoa whoa, "How has this not happened yet?" slow down there Simmons. maybe you and J-Bug can talk about what you'd run on ESPN6 at the Dunkin' later.
After five minutes, Michigan 3, North Dakota 1.
First team to 10 wins.
@algiers4: Can I get a ruling on that?
About the NC mascot/cheerleader in the pedestrian accident (still in critical condition):
"We have a lot of guys on the team who are close friends with him," North Carolina guard Danny Green said. "If we have the time to visit him, we will go."
Hey, Roy? Make time. Thanks.
@Yostal: Win by two.
@algiers4: Ugh. You're right. Brutal mistake on my part.
@Len Bias Cocaine Surplus: ha. that made me laugh out loud. +1
