Dallas Cowboys safety Keith Davis is recovering from two gunshot wounds sustained last night during a drive-by shooting on a Dallas highway. His condition is listed as stable, and despite being shot in the head and in the thigh, his injuries aren't considering life-threatening.
Davis was driving on a highway last night at about 5 a.m. A car pulled up next to his Chevy Impala and unloaded multiple shots. Police are currently investigating.
It's actually not the first time in his career that Davis has been shot. Back in 2003, he was shot three times outside of a Dallas strip club. Bill Parcells cut him soon after. Davis sat out that year, but has since returned to the Cowboys, and was their regular starter at free safety last year.

For God's sakes, Keith, you are our starting free safety-- could you possibly avoid getting shot for just one offseason? I'm not asking for a vigorous workout regimen or for your coverage skills to improve to a mediocre level or even for you to study tape or anything-- just DON'T GET HIT WITH ANY BULLETS. I feel like that is a reasonable request. Because Santana Moss is putting together a nicely gunfire-free offseason at this very moment, and I fear that he will not slow down his post routes out of sympathy for your late night, randomly inflicted bullet wounds.
Did I read that correctly? He was shot "last night at 5 AM?" They must count sunrise as "late night" in Dallas.
Living in Dallas, there are times where I'd rather be shot than have to mess with the highways. 635, I'm talking to you here.

As another Dallasite, I have to agree with Shanknuts...635 is the bane of existence and a rageaholic's worst nightmare.
Clearly at that hour the man was on the way to Bible Study, then to feed the homeless.
PS, note to self: If going to commit an armed felony, do better than an Impala.
