With the Masters just two days away, it's time to get in the swing of things, and by "swing of things," we mean looking like this.
We also mean CBS employees in Georgia for The Masters robbin' the place blind.
A freelance editor from Alabama who was hired by CBS to help cover the Masters golf tournament this week was one of three people arrested Monday and charged in a bank robbery. A man wearing a white T-shirt, blue jeans and an Atlanta Braves sun visor entered a Wachovia bank branch on Gordon Highway shortly after 9 a.m. and handed a teller a note demanding money. A red dye pack mixed in the money exploded in the parking lot.
This is yet another example of the media coming into a small sleepy town once a year and grabbing it by the throat. Jim Nantz will not stand for this sort of insubordination.

"See." - Fuzzy Zoeller
Fuzzy Zoeller knows who the prime suspect is...
Dammit.
Damn you people. Go back to your shanties.

Hello friend, put the money in the bag. It's a tradition unlike any other.
If someone could explain to me why I get SI's stupid "Golf Plus" issue, when I have never in my life expressed an interest in golf, I'd appreciate it.
Back when SI had an "Adventure Plus" section, I signed up for that. When they ended it, I got golf. Totally makes sense.
Police first suspected the man was up to no good when they saw that he was wearing a Braves visor.
"I know a guy who walks into a bank with a little glass bottle. He tells everyone it's nitroglycerine. He scores some money off the teller, walks out. On his way out, the bottle breaks, he slips on it and knocks himself out. The "nitro" was Canola oil. I know more fucked-up bank robbers than ones who know what they're doing. I doubt if one in twenty could tell you where the dye pack is. Most bank robbers are fucking morons.
Police first suspected the man was up to no good when they saw that he was wearing any kind of stupid fucking sun visor.
Fixed. God, I hate those things.
Out of Sight? Really?
@Jen P: You are white, are you not?
There ya go.
@Jen P: I got the SI golf magazine supplement last week. I don't play golf and I hardly watch it on TV. I gave it to a friend who needed something to read on the subway. I don't know why SI thinks I like golf. Maybe they saw me at the driving range at Chelsea Piers that one time last summer, when I hit everything but what I was aiming for.
Now how is Jim Nantz supposed to pay for his whores and coke?
Really.
I LOVE that movie.
I wonder if Ted Knight is going to be his judge...
He would of gotten away except the foam tomahawk got caught in the door.
Sgt. Richard Roundtree of the Richmond County Sheriff's Department.
No wonder the dude got caught. Shaft works for the sheriff's department
You know I can call anybody, they'd put it on the phone? The Pope, an astronaut, the wisest of the wise... Who do I have to call?
Now THAT is a movie quote!
@Matt_T: Nice catch.
You'll get no argument here.
Wasn't J-Lo in Out of Sight?
And as Nantz will close on Sunday, "Free of red dye but well into red numbers...your 2007 Masters Champion...
@AwfulAnnouncing:
Oh yeah.
Do you think now that I've fucked a U.S. Marshall...?
YES
This is definitely CBS' One Shining Moment.
And let's not forget the unofficial Out Of Sight - Jackie Brown cross-over.
Ironically the suspect is a black female.
Also can I not use Deadspin on firefox now? Everytime I type a letter I'm told there is something wrong with $
I smell varmint poontang. And the only good varmint poontang is dead varmint poontang, I think.
Fuck!!! It's bad enough that I had to miss the golf, the golf-related parties, and the notorious drunk-hot-golf-chick-showing-boobs-at-said-parties, but now they're robbing the bank right down the street from my house!!!
I can't help but feel like the terrorists have won....
Stupid Qatar...
I thought they didn't allow chicks at Augusta National - so who the hell parked the minivan in the front driveway?
Out of Sight was notable for 3 reasons:
1. J-Load in the Marino jersey.
2. Michael Keaton making a "Hey, I'm still alive!" statement.
3. The guy tripping on the stairs and shooting himself in the head.
And it was notable for just those 3 reasons. Let us never speak of it again.
@Sheepblog: That's Hootie's Bang-Bus...
@Kip Wells Has a Posse (Me):
Based on the comments so far in the thread, I don't think you're going to get your wish.
@Len Bias Cocaine Surplus: There's nothing wrong with money.
Seriously, though, I'm using firefox.
@Len Bias Cocaine Surplus: It's working fine for me.
@Sheepblog: If I had to guess, Nantz just drove from Atlanta to Augusta in that van.
@Matt_T:
Then if that van's a-rockin'...
much like the Atlanta Braves on his sun visor, he blew it when it really counted.
@Kip Wells Has a Posse (Me): I think not. It's entertaining, well-written and beautifully shot.
@PeteJayhawk: @Diddly: Every time I type I letter on firefox I get "ReferenceError: $ is not defined"
@being sven:
You're talking to a guy who's guilty pleasure movie is The Girl Next Door. Yes, the shitty one with Elisha Cuthbert.
Don't get me wrong, I love Soderbergh. I just never really enjoyed that one for whatever reason.
@Len Bias Cocaine Surplus:
That was happening to me on IE. I think it has something to do with deadspin logging you out.
@Len Bias Cocaine Surplus: My Firefox is working fine as well. Did you d/l any add-on's lately?
I got it now. I just had reset all my private data
Bank customers shall be refer to as patrons not customers in Augusta.
Martha Burke is going to protest the woman was only the accomplice and not a bigger party to the bank robbery.
handed a teller a note demanding money.
Did it also say "I've come to kick ass and chew bubble gum, but I'm all out of bubble gum."?
Out of Sight is a badass, cool movie. Nothing Oscar-worthy, but just a cool movie.
