Is it still safe to draft Priest with my 3rd overall pick?
That neck injury must have affected the blood flow to Priest's brain.
Meanwhile in the dark and distant corner of obscurity, Dick Vermeil is giving a class on changing diapers and cries while he does it.
Maybe sit the next few plays out.
Oh, shit, I just quoted Anchorman. Iracane will have me ki
Didn't Priest threaten to hold out in 2003 because he wanted more money to be the #1 back?

NFL RB's have short shelf-lives, retire when they're 32, and often can't do other jobs when they're done playing. When the company makes 500 million when you're making 7 mil, and you're one of the main reasons they're making so much cake, you should definitely get more money. Sports is a business, and all these schmucks who chastise athletes for trying to get as much money as they can are ridiculous. Every one of us would do the exact same thing.

...If we were in a solid power position. LJ is a good RB, but he has never really been accepted in KC and there are still those that doubt his maturity, knowledge of pass protection assignments, etc. The Chiefs tried to trade him on draft day. That doesn't exactly indicate they feel like they can't do without him.
Whether LJ really holds all the cards here remains to be seen.
@FiddlingWhileJimRomeBurns: That's a fair point - I just think athletes tend to get dragged over the coals for things normal people would do also. They're not gods, they're men, men with short careers, high-risk of injuries, and the companies that they work for make 20 times as much as they do. I'll say this: no LJ in KC, and you're looking at a 3-13 team, easily.
FYI Hard Knocks cemented itself as my favorite show on TV last night, hope someone else caught the dance-off...
