Playoff ticket prices are set in stone by Major League Baseball, but I guess people in Detroit aren't really familiar with the concept of 'playoffs'.

  • So much for....

Sorry. What can I say? I'm a masochist.

  • Clinton wasn't asleep, Frank Solich slipped him a Mickey Finn.

  • Ahhh, Frank Solich. You can "State" out from between "Ohio" & "University" but you can't take the Buckeye out of an Ohioan.

  • Saint Liam had the ability to read. That's why he was put down.

Saint Liam would make some delicious fuckin' fries.

for future reference: the "i was GHB'd" defense also doesn't fly when your buddies catch you 'wrestling outside your weight class'

  • Why does no one care about Saint Liam? Cause he was a dick. There. I said it. I know we try to ignore it, to act like he was an okay but misunderstood horse, but he wasn't. He was a dick, and we're all glad he's gone.

  • A DUI for three margaritas in three hours? Solich should've just stuck with his original plea, hoped the thing went away quietly, and attempted to salvage his manhood. I mean, Huggins probably drinks more than that before breakfast.

  • Another poor defense for 'wrestling outside your weight class' is arguing what the definition of "is" is.

  • Hey, if that man can smoke pot without inhaling, he can definitely argue what the definition of "is" is. That's just damn impressive.

  • If you were willingly abused under the influence of GHB... is it still date rape?

My memory is foggy but I do know I uttered yes and thank you on numerous occasions.

    Just sayin.

  • Big Dog had a hard day of being a retired President. It sure is tiring.

Plus he wanted to go to sleep with a happy memory of the Cards game...which is more than Will got. Sorry. At least you've still got a playoff team to root for. Try being an Astros fan.

  • What exactly did the definition of "is" turn out to be? Just curious.

  • Rob:

Setting aside the fact that MLB does, in fact, set the prices, check out this link to the Tiger Web site. I'm completely shocked to find a bargain $90 price tag for the Skyline seats, while one section over, the price is nearly double.

Besides, the Illitches are notorious for charging outrageous prices and terms for the playoffs with the Wings, and doing it under onerous circumstances. A few years ago season, my former co-worker (who has a single seat in the cheapest price level at JLA) received his playoff invoice in late-February (two-plus months before the end of the regular season) with these terms:

    * Payable in 21 days.
    * Cash or certified check only.
    * All four rounds, four games.
    * Refunds to be made at the conclusion of the finals (regardless of when the Wings are knocked out), and only upon written request (otherwise the balance is applied to the following season). Allow 6-12 weeks for receipt of check.

As though most people would have about $1500 floating around their house. I wonder if the Tigers are forcing such terms on their season ticket holders.

  • I could withstand up to $100, f MLB is charging $175 for a freaking bleacher seat in the World Series, then truly the terrorists have won.
