All this talk about mascots got us to thinking: What's the scariest mascot you've ever come across? (That commenter who played the Noid, that guy's got a pretty good case.)

Our top nominee so far: The mascot for the Omaha Ak-Sar-Ben Knights, a minor league affiliate of the Calgary Flames. This is the Knight itself. Doesn't look that scary, right? Well, check out his eyes. As written by a reader:

"The picture does not quite do it justice, but the Knight s pupils they stick out. A lot. And move around. A lot. When you see him in person, he looks like Judge Doom at the end of Who Framed Roger Rabbit?, when he tells Eddie that he killed his brother: "Remember me, Eddie? When I killed your brother, I talked ... just ... like ... THIS! And his eyes get all red and stick out? Yeah, that apparently was the inspiration for a guy that is supposed to entertain kids here in Omaha."

We haven't seen any clips of such a motion, but we're terrified just thinking about it. We'd love to hear about your scariest mascots in the comments.
