This is not a Smoking Gun-style arrest mugshot: This is Yulia Nemaya, a Russian speedskater. Haven't heard much about her, right? Well, there isn't much reason to; she finished dead last in the 500-meter event.

We know this thanks to an excellent site we've discovered called DFL, which shines a spotlight on the wistful souls who finished last in each Olympic event. The site is wise to eliminate disqualifications, focusing instead on the athlete who is actually the last one to complete each event. Nemaya finished 36 seconds behind the gold medalist, which in a 500-meter event, is no small feat.

It's the Olympic equivalent of the last guy picked in the NFL Draft, and it sums up one of the best aspects of the Olympics: It really is impressive just to make it there.
