My friends and I had a UFC party last night to watch that, and the best part of that knockout was six females in the room recoiling in horror at that knockout, and my girlfriend saying "holy shit that's awesome, look at his fucking leg!" I done found myself a keeper.

The only thing that would excite Rogan more than that knockout is if Carlos Mencia were the guy getting knocked out.

Speaking of hockey, it's a shame two great players like St. Louis and Lecavalier get wasted on a crap hockey market like Tampa. They had to run crazy promotions just to sell out their playoff games!

Then again, it's a shame a great goalie like Brodeur gets wasted on a crap hockey market in Jersey. They've had one of the best teams in the NHL for the last decade, yet regularly play to 2/3 full buildings.

So regardless of who wins, can we just let Edmonton play for them in the 2nd round?

I can't believe Cro Cop lost. I really thought he was going to destroy everyone in UFC. He looked lazy in that fight though, maybe he wasn't taking Gonzaga seriously. oh well. Boot to the head!

I long thought that Filipovic would struggle with a leg cather (as opposed to a kick checker). He really needs to approach his fights more as a pure MMAer and less as a kickboxer that cannot afford to be taken down because his all around skill is there IMO but nobody ever gets to see it.

Also he needs to do some better research on his opponents looking specifically for the ability to catch kicks. Then he needs to not throw the mid kicks (easiest to catch by far) and stay away from the leg kicks as well.

Gonzaga looked great.

More UFC! I went to a great Orioles game, watched 3 soccer matches, including that brilliant last second Tottenham goal, and dabbled in the NBA and that was still no question the best sports entertainment moment of my day.

As for it being "unlikely" Deadspin would pay more attention to UFC it's ironic that a new media source would have the same blinders on as the old media in regard to a new sports popularity. "You young people with your UFC instead of boxing and your liking football more than baseball."
