Jadeveon Clowney is doing things at the NFL combine today, and he just ran the 40-yard dash in an unofficial 4.47 seconds. Jadeveon Clowney is 6-foot-5 and weights 266 lbs. Jadeveon Clowney is not of this world.
Clowney's 40 time ranks him as one of the fastest defensive linemen in combine history. Guys like Manny Lawson and Marcus Howard have posted faster times, but Clowney outweighs both of them by a good 20 lbs. Just to further demonstrate how ridiculously fast Clowney is, here is his run overlaid with Colin Kaepernick's and Cam Newton's:
But was Warren Sapp impressed?
It appears that Warren Sapp was impressed.
Of course, there are a few spoilsports out there who would have you believe that a gigantic man who can run faster than a lot of running backs isn't something we should be all that excited about:
"I don't care about 4.47 I'm concerned that in a full college football season, Clowney sacked the quarterback 3.5 times." Peter King.

Peter King is dumb. Everyone in America knows that Clowney essentially took last season off because there was really nothing he could do to improve his draft stock after spending his sophomore season making plays that deserved to have poems written about them. When you're a goddamn folk hero, you don't need a few extra sacks to convince people you can play.
