    I thought David Cook's incendiary version of the Diarrhea Song (when you're sliding into first version) was the highlight of the homerun derby.

    Something about Ryan Braun just rubs me the wrong way...but wow, nice arm candy for him, I will give him that. Only that.

    Would've been nice if we'd seen it through the lens of the great photographer. Seeing it through his eyes kinda sucks.

    "Ladies and gentlemen, kindly go about your business as we play an old 8-Track of the Canadian national anthem, soon to be followed by a lavish unfurling of the American flag and the singing of the Star Spangled Banner by a 9-time Grammy Award recipient!"

    @friendslikeJimRome:

    If the All Star Game was in Toronto this year, and they'd piped in some instrumental version of the US national anthem before bringing out Feist or someone to sing O Canada, I'm sure that would have gone over great.

    Leitch, have you ever gone to a ballgame without your parents? Did you get an ice cream sundae in a wee little helmet? Did you fall asleep in the backseat on the way home?

    Will, these are nice pictures and all, but I prefer the pomp and circumstance of the Pro Bowl. Last year, they had George Thorogood and a Deep Purple cover band.

    I've read every bit of every Ten Humans column. Then again, I read product labels while I'm eating breakfast. Clearly, the term 'Viewer Discretion' means nothing to me.

    It is whippets, temporary sensation caused by the rapid destruction of millions of irreplaceable brain cells, ultimately leading to subdural haematoma.

    Ironically, "whippets" was the name of Natasha Richardson's favorite ski run.
