Also he wrote an entire column about Tiger's temper tantrum but now doesn't mention his BFF Lance Armstrong's poor sportsmanship?

Seeing famous people wearing that kind of hat is like getting grapefruit juice squirted in your eye, which makes you jerk your head and hit the side of the fridge with your mouth making you have to go to the dentist and get surgery.

You ever wonder why they call it "basketball" when the ball is not made of baskets? Or "baseball" with bases? Why is it "football" when you use your hands? And then there's water polo, which is like land polo but without horses and clothing. Some people on the east coast like lacrosse, but there's no cross involved. I'm not even sure everyone who plays is a Christian. It seems to me these names don't make any sense. So why are sports so popular then? And who am I and what did you do with my pills?

If Reilly wanted to preach sportsmanship he should have started with this guy.

And if you think Jackson's hat is ostentatious, just wait until I start wearing my "Cockpunching Rick Reilly Championship" t-shirt in September.

Maybe the hat was just to show his new buddy Spike Lee how much he liked the Malcolm X movie.

Rick Reilly is the winner of the 2009 Damon Runyon Award for Outstanding Contributions to Journalism, an honor previously won by Jimmy Breslin, Tim Russert, Bob Costas, Mike Royko, George Will, Ted Turner and Tom Brokaw, among others. He has been voted National Sportswriter of the Year 11 times. He joined ESPN in June of 2008.

I mean, far be it from a sports writer of Reilly's magnitude to flaunt his greatness in a bio on his ESPN page for all to see.

So what if there's an X above Phil Jackson? You can still take Shadoe Stevens for the block.

Reilly is an ass. Phil put that hat on because he no longer wanted to be referred to by the name of his slave owner. period.
