@Spectacular Sam: Really? I mean, I can see how it could possibly be perceived as arrogant, but I guess I'm so conditioned to accepting MJ as cocky that it didn't faze me at all.
@The Cajun Boy: Why on earth would you feel the need to bring up these petty grievances with Jerry Krause and Jeff Van Gundy now? Because you are a petty jackass, that's why, Michael Jordan.
@The Cajun Boy: To be clear, Cajun, if you actually saw Robinson or Stockton's classy speeches, you'd know something about who was overshadowed by whom.
Hey everyone, meet Micheal Jordan. He's not the great guy you were always told he was. He was a gambler and skirt chaser his entire career. If he acted like a classless prick, it's because he is a classless prick.
@Bobby Big Wheel: "Touch of Grey - when you want them to know you're experienced at bludgeoning people to death with a tire iron oustide the Bellagio, but you've still got the youthful energy to pull it off again today!"
Nike is small potatoes compared to the other companies Fish & Richardson have gone to battle with. They recently represented Microsoft who was being sued by Lucent over MP3 and DVD patents - big time billion dollar stuff - and they prevailed.
I'm willing to bet that SportsFuzion wins this one.

@techstar25: F&R is the best IP firm in the country, but I don't know if SportzFoosyun has this one in the bag. I can't tell from Steve Barlow's comments whether or not SkortzFuziyn sold its rights back to the HOF after the January 2008 request to "renegotiate." The series of events, as described by Mr. Barlow, seems to go like this: IP rights purchased from HOF; idea presented to Nike; Nike said "no"; HOF called to get out of its contract with SnorksFunions; [UNCLEAR]; Nike announces Jordan HOF line. The statement is vague, and I have the feeling it's not by accident.
Deadspin LLC was just summoned from their respective basements of their parents' homes by the LAWSymbol: a searchlight beaming against the night sky the logo of a lawyer chasing an ambulance.
I thought Tommy Craggs was the only DS editor who could write angry, sarcastic screeds about litigation that has even the slightest, tangential relation to sports?

One of the kids was...I'm willing to guess...the only Confederate soldier during The Civil War of Thai Conjoined Twin parentage.
I actually used to know some of their descendants. Many still live in the same part of N.C. where the Bunker's retired. Seriously, good stuff.

Fuck Nike.

Man, this firm really took the bait on this one, looking to land a big payday. I don't see it panning out.
