    This is actually just part of an elaborate bet he made with Dallas Clark about who could have a Platinum album first. He's going to be sorely disappointed when he finds out that Christian record companies only give out golf, frankincense and myrrh albums.

    Has anyone ever listened to Christian Rock? Forced or voluntarily, doesn't matter. Most of it is crap. Not for the lyrics, but the music and everything about it just sucks.
    Once in a blue moon, a really talented artist like D.C. Talk or Jars of Clay emerges, but for the most part, it's manufactured crap.

    @Quake 'n' Shake: I can't find the article (i think it was on Time.com, but not sure) so i'll just sound authoritative saying I heard it on NPR, but...


    ... Many kids raised solely on Christian Culture have a bit of a culture shock when they see the outside world. Not so much because of the content, because most have enough self-awareness to realize they are living a life more pious than most, but that all the culture they grew up with; art, music, literature, etc is just truly inferior to mainstream stuff.


    It's a bit depressing to some of them that they could be so sheltered and that their stuff is just manufactured Christian garbage with no artistic value.
